As the war in Cerebril wages on chancellor Neil Taltos has made some astonishing announcements. Working with the Wisdom Council and the House of Wisdom in parliament, he has brought about some major economic and political changes within the country, they are as follows:
1. For the first time in almost 200 years universities not owned by the state will be permitted to open their premises on Olspherian soil. However schools below the university level will remain state-dominated.
2. Small businesses are now being given full support by the goverment. In the past, corporations were banned and any other smaller businesses not sponsored by the government were suffocated with restrictions. Now small businesses are being out-rightly supported by the goverment and encouraged to grow. Well the ban on corporations is now gone for the most part, as was with small businesses before, there are a great deal of restrictions.
3. Local government's are being given considerably more power and rights then they previously possessed.
4. A plan to greatly reduce military spending (and goverment spending across the board for that matter) has been introduced by Taltos to be put into effect after the war, but no more has been heard about it.

It is time we headed back to the true ideals of Olspher, we have been stumbling down a slippery and bureaucratic path for much to long. A path my predecessor was only to happy to take, but a path that I refuse to take. As a nation we are going through a major economic crisis and in the midst of a war! (don't draw any connections, it's a coincidence) It is vital to understand that though our current system is indeed one of ideals, it is now turning around and crushing those very things it once supported, we must...
