Just released by our undercover forces in Cerebril, we now know that on October 18th, a group of 100 people gathered in front of the former Imperial State House and began to sing Hymns and lead prayers. The crowd quickly grew to as many as 2000 men, women, and children before the Supreme Chancellor's troops acted. One of the troops shouted over a loudspeaker to disperse, but the crowd could not hear him. The troops tried for at least 20 minutes to stop the enormous choir, to no avail. Finally however, during the singing of Jerusalem by W. Blake, the troops, furious now, wheeled out a Gatling gun and fired into the crowd. Immediate chaos ensued, some of the crowd fled, others assaulted the troops and State House with their bare hands. The current estimates are 327 civilians, 56 of which were killed in the original firing. An additional 78 were injured. 24 guards were killed by the crowd and 3 injured. In the following riot, 36 more guards were killed and 7 wounded, along with 62 civilians killed and 118 injured. Over 1,400,000 silvers in property damage has been recorded so far. The government has not released a statement as of yet, as they have tried to cover it up and stop the information from reaching the outside world.
