Olspher
Olspher is proud to boast it's massive increase in educational facilities, as well as teachers these past few month's. Including the completion of the new massive Soulasar University of Culture and Aesthetics that is estimated to do incredibly well in the coming years. Though this move mainly put into effect by Chancellor Neil Taltos has "depleted the national coffers" as some might put it Prime Minister Jeff Coulter believes it was a smart move. "Olspher is a nation where education means everything to the people, and is important for a higher functioning society. A little loss of money is a small sacrifice for the very values that this nation stand's for!" (Excerpt from a speech given to the public through ONT, Olspher National Television)
It's a hard argument to beat, and has a great deal of truth in it, another argument that could support this move not mentioned by any of the leading elite is of course Elysium. As is well known the nations of Olspher and Elysium are constantly competing for higher education within their countries. An expert on this situation, Brannon Talos (Native to Olspher, Received collage education at EU, Elysium University) "Well I have to say the Olspherian system of education is much more organized effective in my opinion, Elysium also has a lot to offer. Within their system things tend to be a lot more free, there are hardly any restrictions. This style is what makes EU one of the best if not the best University in the whole region, and though some schools in Olspher have adopted a version of this style, they will never match it."
Another scholar Oran Tarrian (Native to Olspher, Received education in OUCPA, University of Olspher for Cultural and Philosophical Arts, Part of a larger claimed national university OU or University of Olspher). " I strongly believe in the educational power of both Olspherian Society and their system. The exact specialization that is provided in such a meaningful and precise way, as well as the freedom within that is simply spectacular. Though I have a great respect for the Educational Power House that is Elysium, I believe that Olspher provides a more stable and worthwhile education." I'm sure there will be more on this ever continuing fascinating story in the near future, until that time, I bid you farewell.

((Hey book... "Wars" and "years" do not need an apostrophe before the 's'... and please change the title, as I have asked you already.))

[[STAY ON TOPIC!]] ~ Note from the admin Quit whinging! Have you seen the size of your precious little forum? Tiny. Miniscule, even. I appreciate you trying to keep things organised but, really, you're acting like this is a big place, like it's teeming with members. Stupid members, apparently, since you need to guide them through everything. Coooome oooon! ~ Note from a sensible sort. (Oh, and for frig's sake unlock the rules part in the wiki! Like the rest of your writing - how do you do it? - it needs editing. I can't bear to see the most important part go worst off.)

I apologize for the appendage "note from the admin" included in the reminder, I see why it may have annoyed you. I simply wished for people to stay on topic within my own post! In addition to this, in no way do I interfere with individual members in any way, what they do in none of my business unless it contradicts the rules of the site in which case I still tend to be relaxed. I can see where you are coming from entirly and will take your advice, but I still see a great deal of you statements unnecessary and slightly insulting.(You may send me a revised version of the "rules of the wiki" via P.M. if you wish. In the future maybe you could just inquire when the thought comes to you instead of waiting until you're really angry and asking me in a flurry OK?)

I don't think 'admin' part was the bad part. Not to mention, I don't see you being that lenient with the members when you refused to go with the suggestion of 'warning' them should they go wrong with the 'name in red' thing, under the reasoning that 'if they don't get another chance, they won't get lenient with not doing it' (obviously I paraphrase). This place is quite small and in its last incarnation, several of its few members posted rarely and a few forums went without posts. You could afford to certainly behave in a much lighter manner when it comes to posting rules. Also I did post a 'thread' on Wetpaint about the rules matter, but it seems those things, for being there, have little attention drawn to them. Either way, I see little reason why the rules page should be locked and not other pages; either protect all the 'important' ones or not. And there will be very, very little chance of any 'vandalism' anyway; "Your Wetpaint did not reach the Top 500" anyone? Vandalism will be directed towards larger, more popular sites. Particularly to do with TV shows and stuff.

Soasidon, I hardly want to turn this into some pointless bloody argument! So because I am only human I will try but one last time to defend my apparent "honor" if you will. If your assault continues past this defense I will back down so as to prevent any longstanding hard feelings. First thing to address: my statements concerning the verification of a nation in an RP post. I had stated in the warning note only that the nation had to be apparent to the readers, which is slightly less unreasonable then putting it in "red bold" which is only encouraged. That being mainly irrelevant I will move on, after your suggestion I stated exactly "if you tell people they get a warning, then they risk doing it, and naturally I do not want that. " and though it defeats the whole point having to explain myself, I was implying that I would not be harsh if such an incident would ever occur but it was better to help prevent it by seeming I would be. I can certainly see that through text this vaguely implied message would be very hard to interpret. I am sorry for my projected "obsession" of the rules as you may dress me in, it might as well be true. It is simply my personality when it comes to managing things, more specifically websites. I do not wish for people to break the rules, I could say "you could hardly blame me for that" but something tells me you would . As for your problems with wetpaint, I understand what you are saying, there might not be much attention on our site... but all the same some things must be protected. There are several notorious instances of all the info on a wetpaint site being deleted. This is the reason I have precautions set up, and of course as I'm sure you will let me know, this is only my paranoia! This is in all likelihood true, though it helps protect the site, so some good must come of it, even if it does not seem like it. The rules are important, so of course are all the other pages, but they need to be contributed to constantly well the rules stay relatively the same. I apologize for the anger that might have been portrayed in this message, but it is very late at night and I'm a bit cranky. There is really nothing more I can do or say, for in my experience it will simply make you angrier. So just send me P.M.s from now on, or start a thread devoted to nagging me, just don't do it here. Sorry, there is that crankiness again! P.S. When I say "in my experience" I was referring to other arguments I have had concerning something slightly similar.

I agree with Saos; this forum isn't big enough to merit strict administration.
